NEW FROM CAST YOUR ANCHOR.Multipurpose Reeving and Seizing Rigging Tool used for rigging of deadeyes, sheaves or blocks. By positioning the telescopic part holder up or down ( from 15mm to 34mm) there are unlimited settings. The height allows you to work directly on the model if required. The swiveling alligator clamp easily secures the part (up to 5mm in diameter) resulting in a tight knot, - apply a touch of rigging glue to secure the knot - done to perfection. Other applications - holding small parts for painting or gluing , applying wax or dyes to rigging material, wiring, tying belaying pins, eyebolt etc. Specifications : Size: Length 178mm (7") Material: Nickel Plated Steel, ABS Base Package Qty: Each Watch Instructional Video: https://youtu.be/Yp05N_0mW-4 Cast Your Anchor's Multipurpose Reeving and Seizing Rigging Tool. tool consists of a base and 4 telescopic part holders each one topped with a swivelling alligator clamp. The telescopic part holder extends between 15mm up to 34mm. There is enough height to allow you to place the stand on your work table and rig directly on your model. They are set in the base with a minimum distance of 5mm for reeving but by increasing the height of one of the telescopic part holders the distance between the two deadeyes could be as much as 19mm. The alligator clamp can hold a part from 2.5mm up to 5mm. A simple task but one that would be accomplished more effectively if only you had three hands. Tying knots around blocks, deadeyes, bullseyes, sheeves, eye bots, belaying pins etc. is made much easier and the knot is much tighter. Here we are demonstrating tying of a knot using rigging line on fittings of various scales so you can see how easy it is. You can you this tool for tying rigging line of wire to your ship model parts. Even though the knot is very tight, we like to apply a dab of hypo cement rigging glue just to finish the off the knot. For reeving, place one of the triple hole deadeyes in one of the alligator clips and the second deadeye in another alligator clip set at the distance you need for your model. Have enough line to be able to fasten the lanyard to the strop at the bottom and to the bottom of the shroud at the top then begin weaving the line through the deadeyes. Seizing a shroud line made easy. Insert one end of the shroud line , likely tied to a block or deadeye, to one of the alligator clips and pulling the shroud line tight, fasten the shroud line to one of the other alligator clips. Now that the line is taught, it will be easy to seize the shroud line for as many turns as you want then tie off and glue the end. Examples of other applications you can use the tool for would be to hold parts for painting , gluing, carving |
